第3回「秋葉山参拝ガイド付きハイキング」⑪―Akiha cedars

Akihasan is the mountain where many cedars grow. And some remaining cedars in repeated wildfires are more than 500 years old.

　秋葉山は度々山火事に見舞われています。そんな山火事の中でも焼けずに残った杉は、樹齢500年を超える古木。秋葉寺を過ぎた表参道は古木の雑じった秋葉杉に覆われ、第3回「秋葉山参拝ガイド付きハイキング」参加者たちは、そんな杉を見上げながら山頂を目指しました。

We walked under cedars while looking up them. We regained our energy. The summit was near there.

　ここまで来れば、山頂まであと少し。出発してすでに2時間半が経過していましたが、3時間でのゴールは見えて来ました。
